Spring has sprung fellow coffee lovers… and as we hurtle towards the summer we have a few updates. We had a few more updates planned, but we unexpectedly lost our main work computer a few days ago (those of you who follow us on Instagram know this). We usually work on two machines and back everything up, but we’re in the process of making our setup more portable and our MacBook Pro died while we were working on the second video for May. It also means, all of our software, presets, and workflow have to be set up from scratch. To say this has been a setback would be an understatement. But we’re trying to pick up the pieces and move on. So please bear with us…

Ember Mug 2 Review — We bought the new and improved Ember Mug two months ago and have used it every day since. Can a $130 coffee mug actually be worth it?
Picopresso Review — This will come SOON, we promise. In the meantime check out our unboxing video.
25 Magazine
Namisha’s article in 25 Magazine, titled “Jaago and Smell the Coffee” is finally out! This has been months in the making, and is a deep dive into why Indian coffee remains largely anonymous outside the country. More importantly, she explores what we can do to change it. The article would not have been possible without the interviewees, so please read it to discover fun tidbits and keen insights from Arshiya Bose, James Hoffmann, Sunalini Menon, Tanya Rao, Mithilesh Vazalwar and Tim Wendelboe. There were others who wished to remain anonymous, and we are grateful to every one who contributed.
II. Product
Unless you’ve muted all our notifications, you are probably aware we’ve been running an Indiegogo campaign for The Coffee Journal in the past 2.5 weeks. It has been a really fun, exciting campaign for us and a LOT of work! We are at 101%, but we still have 10 days left on the campaign and backing it now if you haven’t already would really help us get closer to our goal of putting this journal into the hands of coffee lovers everywhere! We have backers from 16 countries (!) and have been featured on Sprudge, FLTR and Brew Methods. We could not be happier about the support from this awesome community, and are really working hard to get as many people behind this project as possible!
We have another long-awaited product launch coming up very soon and here’s a little sneak peek… any guesses? Comment below!
III. Updates (India only)
Subscription
We have TWO new features that we think you’ll love!
Referrals — All you have to do is login in to your account on the subscription website, select Refer a friend from the account dropdown menu and send the unique link to whomever you think is interested. If they successfully sign up for the subscription, both of you get 10% off your next bag of coffee!
Gifting — we’ve made it really easy to gift a subscription.
Create an account for yourself on the subscription website.
In your Account Preferences prepaid section, add the amount you would like to gift.
Then head over to the Buy Giftcard section, choose the same amount and hit Buy.
Simply share the gift code with the person you want to gift the subscription to.
The recipient can create their account and use the code on the Add Giftcard page.
NOTE: both features are fully functional betas, so if you run into any glitches, please let us know and we will get it fixed right away. We will streamline the workflow even further as we test them out.
The South Indian filter :)?
