In honour of Diwali, here is some relaxing rangoli. Rangoli, designs or decorations placed outside someone’s home during festive occasions, are made using rice flour, cereal, limestone, powdered calcite and flower petals.

The CHEMEX is an iconic pour over brewer invented by the eccentric German chemist Dr. Peter Schlumbohm in 1941. Considered a piece of art, it even appeared on the cover of the Museum of Modern Art’s ‘Useful Objects in Wartime’ bulletin.
Pumpkin spice latte was first offered by Starbucks in 2003 and has become synonymous with the fall season. Contrary to popular belief, it doesn’t in fact contain pumpkin, but a spice mix of ground cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves and sometimes allspice, often used in pumpkin pie.
