The total project cost is $344.13 million, and transition into scientific observations was announced in November 2021.

Oatly is looking to expand its global footprint demonstrating that China is a priority market for coffee going forward — Tims China and Oatly have launched a co-branded RTD oat milk latte range. Oatly made its first entry into the Chinese market in 2018 by introducing its Barista Edition oat milk to coffee shops.
In India, Starbucks has launched a “picco” sized drink which sits at 6oz (~170ml), half the size of its standard “tall” sized drink of 12oz (~350ml) to cater to the country’s demographic which is used to drinking smaller sized drinks overall and at a lower price point.
As specialty coffee innovation shows no signs of stopping on the consumer side, cafes like Hey Hey in LA are experimenting with boba and coffee. Boba, or tapioca balls, are typically added to tea either with or without milk and are extremely popular. Hey Hey and others like Bobae and even Starbucks, are introducing boba to coffee menus because of the textural nature of boba which can complement coffee, but more importantly to show how cafes can be places where different cultures can converge.
